Original contract value

Original contract value is the dollar amount in the signed agreement before change orders. It is the baseline for measuring how much the job has grown in scope and price.

Worked example

A hypothetical Harbor Point garage awards at $8,500,000. That figure is original contract value until the first approved change order revises it.
